Covid19

Covid-19 might have stopped us being together and enjoying sounds and music in person. Thanks to the wonders of modern day technology, we still found ways to connect.

In Oct 2020, Geeta Jatania’s dear niece got married in Auckland, NZ. As she resides in Australia, she sadly could not attend. So in honour of her wedding, with the help of some friends she sang and recorded a song as a dedication to the happy couple: https://youtu.be/8wM8yP8no6Q

Moya Simpson and John Shortis are household names in Canberra. They’re most well known for their ever so witty satirical music shows. They also run a global music choir called Worldly Goods. When Corona stopped the weekly choir gatherings, John and Moya got busy creating a song for us to sing in a different way: https://youtu.be/tG-Op9xP9_k

Covid 19 of course put so many regular weekly gatherings on hiatus. Gary Owen who runs several ukele group sessions in Canberra, put his innovative skills into action by creating uke meet ups on Zoom. People could join in and play along with him: https://youtu.be/HESS1oAn-50?t=4029
